9. Overview of the gameplay
As there is a limited supply of $grain, and all used $grain is burned — there is actually a hypothetical ‘cap’ on the total size of the Barn, after which point it will be extremely difficult to grow your GGoose.
All GGoose will start laying at a rate of:
0.25 $gold8 per day at 1kg increase their daily $gold8 laying by 0.25 $gold8 for every per kg gained.
So for example; a Level 5 GGoose lays 2 $gold8 per day, and a Level 17 GGoose will lay 5 $gold8 per day.
The general formula for $gold8 laid per day is = [0.25+(kg-1)*0.25]. (With every claim subject to a 50% Wolf Attack Chance, taxed at 7%). This is what we call a linear $gold8 laying, as the amount of $gold8 per day increases linearly with kg.
More importantly, linear $gold8 laying does not require any relative rebalancing, as every GGoose lays $gold8 independently, based on their kg as per the above formula.
From a tokenomics standpoint, this won't have a big effect on $gold8's long-term characteristics. When the supply of $grain runs out, the hard-cap of $grain means that all GGoose will theoretically reach a set level and the barn will hypothetically reach a fixed size, capping the daily emissions of $gold8.
A GGoose Farmer’s total $gold8 yield will depend on the size of their barn stake, that is, the total kg of all ggoose owned.
All staked GGoose will continue to lay $gold8 indefinitely, which can be claimed at any time. In the beginning, given every GGoose has the same starting weight of 1kg — they will all lay equally at 0.25 $gold8 per day.
To explain it simply, you must stake as much $gold8 as you can, harvest and use your $grain as frequently as you can to grow your GGoose bigger as soon as you can, if you want to lay the most $gold8 possible.
