11. GGoose Gameplay Mechanics

A certain quantity of $gold8 will be laid in the barn each day. 10,000 of $gold8 per day will be the initial quantity, and 120,000 total of $gold8 per day will be the “hypothetical” cap once the $grain is depleted.
All GGoose will start out weighing 1 kg, and once they are "Staked," they will all lay an identical number of $gold8 each day.
However, there are different ways for you to grow your GGoose faster and bigger. And the race to grow a GGoose bigger than everybody’s else would always your main mission as a GGoose player. The idea is to maximize your $gold8 laying, which subsequently results in growing as many GGoose as you can and as quickly as you can.
How do we achieve this? The simple idea is you would need as much $grain as you can to feed your GGoose as frequently as possible and one of the important ways of obtaining $grain is by staking as many $gold8 as you can and as rapidly as you can.
The quantity of $grain needed to level-up your GGoose increases as your GGoose does. Bigger goose needs more food to grow. In other words, a ggoose would need significantly more $grain to be upgraded from 10 kg to 11 kg than it would to be upgraded from 1 kg to 2 kg.
The graph below will explain it better:
Based on the graph, the amount of grain required to level-up your GGoose increases in tandem as your GGoose gets heavier in kg. The formula for this is:
25 x {$kg}²
This may look like an impossible figure but you will quickly realize that you will be farming a LOT of $grain if you stake all of your $gold8 repeatedly/consistently. Stake your freshly laid $gold8 back into the farm.
You may also choose to sell your $gold8 but that will be tricky because if you sell all your $gold8 too soon, down the line you will end up with the lowest level GGoose and eventually miss out on the race to make more profits.
All 10,000 GGoose might theoretically reach level 45 kg due to the cap on the total $grain supply. Some of you will persevere and achieve triple digit kg of GGoose, but most will only achieve a single-digit-weight small GGoose.
Initially it will take shorter period to grow your GGoose because your GGoose is still small. However, as it grows bigger, the digestion period or waiting period will take longer. But there are actually differrent ways you can do as a player to expedite the process!
Despite some mechanism in place for the proplayers, it is also designed to allow any new GGoose players to navigate the game, and at least be part of it with an equal chance.
Digestion time = {$kg} x 60 mins
For example, digestion time from 1 kg to 2 kg is 60mins, or 1 hour.
When a GGoose levels up, the timer starts and the digestion time increases linearly with the current level. The exponential $grain cost to level-up interplays with the linear digesting time.
Some players might not care about the digesting time in the early game as they'll be waiting longer to farm $grain gradually from organically producing $gold8. However, if you have several GGoose on hand, try to focus on just leveling-up for one or a few of them quickly. You might find yourself wanting your GGoose to digest sooner rather than later.
There is no EXACT calculation for this but there are projected results and simulations that we may be able to share for a better understanding. Y-axis is Level and X-axis is the number of Days.
This simulation considers certain assumptions:
The GGoose is organically grown (leveled-up) without the usage of external $grain or $gold8.
The GGoose will level-up as soon as it has enough $grain to grow.
The cooling off period or digestion period is not considered here.
The average GGoose levelling forecast model depicted above will change based on the aforementioned macro-assumptions and forms a fundamental model for individual GGoose performances and strategies.
Depending on each player, even though we could never predict exactly how the average GGoose growth rate will perform, we know that to increase the desirability of your GGoose (ie heavier kg and laying more $gold8), you must stay ahead of everyone else in the game, and you definitely want an advantageous edge over the other players.
There are many strategies that can be considered. Here are some helpful hints;
Own a healthy number of GGoose. Consider this: you can accumulate all the farmed grain from staked $gold8, and used every single $grain on only one or two of your GGoose).
Stake your $gold8, farmed $grain to feed your GGoose as constantly and rapidly as possible.
Level up as MANY GGoose as you can, as BIG as you can, as FAST as you can.
You can grab more $gold8 from the external markets such as PancakeSwap or from the community itself.
You can directly swap $gold8 for $grain. 1 $gold8 = 12 $grain.
You can provide $gold8-BNB liquidity and earn CAKE, and then stake CAKE in the Syrup pool to farm even more $grain rewards (to be launched soon).
In addition to the KG, higher rarities will also fetch a certain premium on the open market, but as you now may have realized after reading through the above — a heavier GGoose will be more valuable too and be very much sought after.
However, if you want to sell off your precious $gold8 early — particularly while there’s still $grain to be farmed for — you will be doing so at your own risk.
Hard-cap on TOTAL $grain supply, as it stands at time of writing, will be 360 million. Three daily for every one staked $gold8 — and 12 immediately if you swap the $gold8 for $grain.
