1.1 The Golden Goose fable

In a small village far into the hills, there lived a poor farmer and his wife. They survive on the simple vegetables they grow. They have a goose. The goose was fed some grain. The next day, the goose laid a golden egg! They sold the golden egg for lots of money. The farmer grew greedy and cut open the goose because he thought there were more golden eggs. The goose died and there were no golden eggs.
